Canada Life Asset Management has made a series of senior promotions across the business to support future growth plans.
Rebekah Riddell has been appointed Head of Trading, a new role at Canada Life Asset Management. She will support the growth of the trading business, with £40 billion AUM and a growing list of trading venues, and facilitate the development of the team and its use of technology. Rebekah will report to David Marchant, Managing Director at Canada Life Asset Management and CIO, Canada Life Ltd.
James Stoddart has been appointed Head of Distribution - Asset Management, succeeding Ian Goulsbra, who retired as Director of Investment Sales in July 2022. James joined Canada Life Asset Management in 2017 as Institutional Sales Director, having spent ten years at Royal London Asset Management. In his new role, he will be responsible for continuing to expand Canada Life Asset Management’s global sales and distribution across institutional, advisory and discretionary audiences.
Sanjay Patel has been appointed Director of Global Private Debt. Sanjay brings over ten years of credit experience to the role and will work closely with Nicola Henry, Senior Fund Manager, to continue to develop Canada Life Asset Management’s European private placement capacity as the company looks to build its asset capabilities across the globe. Sanjay will report to Ward Argust, who is based in the US and heads up the Global Private Debt team, and Roger Dawes, Head of Fixed Income - Portfolio Management, based in London.
